STORY // T-Raja :: Bangalore, India

T Raja was a Tuk-Tuk taxi driver.  After he become a follower of Jesus he began to study the scriptures and see Jesus’ call to care for the destitute… the vulnerable.  As he was studying these passages he began to notice all the people living on the streets that he passed everyday as a Tuk-Tuk driver.  Slowly he began taking people home.  Most of these people were on their last breath.  He felt that people deserved to die with respect.  So he would bring them in and care for them, provide for them, and give them a place to die in peace and with respect.  Others were able to be treated and/or rehabilitated.  The work has grown over the last 10 years from just a few people in his house to now having several hundred people he is caring for.  There is now a men’s center, women’s center, and children’s center.  Several of the people that were rehabilitated are now serving on staff.  There have been several thousand people to come through his gates so that gives you an idea of how many people he has given a peaceful and respectful death. This man has such a servants heart. Truly incredible.
