STORY // Uganda :: Lira

I’m not sure I have the words to describe to you this place or the life these beautiful people have experienced.  We spent a week in Lira.  BHW works with a family there who is caring for a bunch of orphans.  Sometime back during the heat of the LRA war, there was a pastor who kept taking in children and orphans.  Some had been affected by HIV/AIDS, but mostly all had been affected by the LRA.  This pastor was murdered during the conflict and two of his daughters began looking after all the children and continue to do so to this day.  Their story is unimaginable.  I’m working on a bigger post and possibly a video from our time there and will explain their story more in detail.  Here are just a few frames from my time there.  More to come later.
