After Busia we headed down to Jinja which is a town on Lake Victoria and also the source of the White Nile. Last year I was able to visit Bahir Dar, Ethiopia which is where the source of the Blue Nile originates from Lake Tana. So, pretty cool to see the two headwaters of the River Nile.
While we were there we met with a BHW partner who is a Sudanese refugee and a pastor. He and his wife have been working in a compound which is largely a camp for refugees and internally displaced people. Along with their church there, they have started medical clinics and a micro-loan program as well. We spent a day walking through the compound visiting people who have been impacted by the micro-loan program.
