STORY // UGANDA :: BUSIA

Once we got into Uganda we went and spent some time in a village just outside of Busia.  There is a couple there who have created a Micro-Loan program that is just awesome.  Our partners had invited a bunch of the loan recipients to swing by their home while we were there and we spent a couple days just sitting under a tree talking with person after person after person who has used micro-loans to better their standard of living.  They have enabled people to create businesses, grow gardens, send children to school, help them put themselves through school, and on and on.  Our partners have also planted churches, and work a regular job. They have also become a place of refuge for children.  There are numerous children living with them who they look after.

Heidi - Lane,

Your are an amazing inspiration. I loved your talk at CPS last night you seem humble compassionate and have a real drive to tell other peoples plight through their eyes and your camera. That’s very exciting. Keep up the good work and I look forward to spreading your pictures.

lane - Thanks Heidi. That means a lot. Enjoyed seeing your photos as well. Thanks you all for letting me share. Best regards. -LD
